FIL-AM SANGBAYAN
A Filipino-American Non-Profit Cultural and Charitable Organization based in North Carolina
Fil-Am Sangbayan, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural and charitable organization founded in 2001 by Evelyn Ferguson. Sangbayan's goal is to unite Filipino-American families, to be the source of cultural information about the Philippines, and to respond to the charitable endeavors locally and in the Philippines. Sangbayan is funded by the generosity of those that attend its events.
Sangbayan has participated in many mission trips to the Philippines, whether medical or food distribution, to aid its disenfranchised brothers and sisters. Sangbayan has also sent care boxes and money to aid victims of major floods and earthquakes in the Philippines.
